Brittany to Oslo

Hi,
The next day we left Brittany and drove across to Rouen, a city about an hour and a half north of Paris. We stayed in a best western hotel and in the morning the next day after breakfast we saw out the front of the hotel that there were ducks at a frozen pond. After taking some pictures we headed off past all the thatched houses to Somme, an area where over 1 million soldiers were killed during world war one. While looking around that area we learnt that the Vikings took over Normandy in 1066. At around 2 we decided that it was time to head to a village in Belgium called La Roche. It took about 3 hours to get there and when we arrived we saw a huge castle on the hill above the village. We stayed in a hotel next to the river running through the town and had a really nice dinner, I had deer. The next morning it was about 1 degree, we looked around the village and saw some sheep and a donkey in a small pen in the middle of the town square. After patting them we looked in some shops and stopped in a chocolate shop and each got a small Santa made from Belgian chocolate, it was so nice. After that we left for Hamburg in northern Germany. We went through Luxembourg as we were low on petrol and there is no tax there. On the way it was -7 and there was frost every where. When we were driving on the way to Hamburg near Cologne we got stuck in traffic for an hour with out moving at all. When we arrived in Hamburg we stopped in our apartment we had booked and had dinner. In the morning we Had breakfast and then drove to Kiel and made sure we weren’t late for our ferry to Oslo. The Ferry was absolutely huge and even had shops, restaurants, game areas, aqualand and a night club. Our cabin was small so Frazer and I spent most of our time running around the ship in socks which was really fun. Later we watched Bruce Almighty and Zorro on TV (in English) and then went to bed.
